Why should any member of Congress attend Trump's state of the union tomorrow night? He only continues to spread lies, attack the rule of law, and divide the country. #BoycottSOTU pic.twitter.com/GofojLvuPx

Donald Trump is beneath the dignity of the State of the Union podium. He’s only gonna lie his ass off anyway, so what’s the point?
I guarantee multiple pundits will wistfully claim “today is the day Donald Trump became president*.” In fact, there are some news outlets like Associated Press that are already saying it.
Again, I call bullshit. Wishing it was true is not the same thing as actual truth. 🔵
UPDATE for 2019: Nope, not watching. As long as illegally installed Orange Person is squatting the white house*—spewing hate written by Stephen Miller—I’ll not be party to SOTU. Giving this sacrosanct event energy is also giving it legitimacy which is absolutely doesn’t have. Although if a news org threw up a split-screen debunking his lies I *might* consider it.
unless there's a real-time split screen debunking his lies—NO they're not
